How a Reusable Mobile Platform Accelerated Conference App Delivery
The Summary
A conference management company needed a more efficient way to deliver mobile applications for the professional events it organized throughout the year.
Instead of developing a new application for every conference, we designed Congress App, a reusable mobile platform that allowed organizers to launch fully branded iOS and Android applications from a shared codebase.
The platform combined a standardized technology foundation with configurable event-specific content and branding, enabling faster deployment, lower development and maintenance costs, and a consistent digital experience across multiple conferences.

The Challenge
Each conference required its own mobile application with schedules, speaker information, venue details, announcements, and attendee resources.
Although the functionality was largely similar from one event to another, every conference also needed to maintain its own visual identity and content.
Building and maintaining a separate application for each event created unnecessary duplication and made it difficult to scale the process as the number of conferences increased.
The organization needed a solution that could:

The Solution
We developed Congress App, a configurable hybrid mobile platform built with Ionic Framework.
Rather than treating each conference as a separate software project, the platform established a reusable foundation that could be configured for individual events.
Organizers could create a branded experience by adapting the application’s colors, imagery, content, schedules, and other event-specific information without rebuilding the underlying application.
The platform supported key conference needs, including:
- Conference schedules and session information.
- Speaker profiles and biographies.
- Event announcements and updates.
- Venue and logistical information.
- Networking and social event information.
- Tourist and city information for attendees.
- Interactive Q&A functionality allowed attendees to submit questions directly to speakers during presentations.
Each conference could then be delivered as its own branded mobile application while continuing to leverage the same underlying platform.
